In the 17th minute, Elia Pietrantoni made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patricio Costa to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Fausto Pinti's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After 55 minutes, Fausto Pinti made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side.
