The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matías Mendes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Alves. Izaltina FAD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 15th minute of play forced Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper Manuel Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matías Mendes got free with Rolando Noboa in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24thth minute of the game Julian Murillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Izaltina FAD defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Alves. The Izaltina FAD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Alves should have stopped the shot. Matías Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. Wágner de Sena got a throw-in 35 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Matías Mendes. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Well-Well Waack, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Well-Well Waack who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Well-Well Waack put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Rolando Noboa. Manuel Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 44th minute of play. Luz Tejedor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Manuel Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Manuel Alves made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Luz Tejedor sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's Wágner de Sena got a free kick in the 55th minute. Izaltina FAD's Manuel Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of play. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Leo Salvino hit a great ball. In the 67th minute of the game Wágner de Sena made a throw-in which Benito Lain played forward. After some careless play in the Izaltina FAD defense, Julian Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Alves. The Izaltina FAD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Alves should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute, Well-Well Waack made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Well-Well Waack, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute of the match Izaltina FAD got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael Gallo's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. 95 minutes into the game, Peru's Rafael Gallo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Alves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-5. The Izaltina FAD supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Peru's performance. The match ended with a win for Peru.
