When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Elvijs Presley put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Amuruza Lillo. Amuruza Lillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roby Baggio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Berriotxoa Figueroa was slow to take the kick. During this time Junta De Los Rios CF's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Junta De Los Rios CF's corner Berriotxoa Figueroa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Johnny Banks quite easily take care of the ball. Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Junta De Los Rios CF from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Junta De Los Rios CF's Baudelio Echavarri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Johnny Banks narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Malmö White Knights's goal looked a bit too open when Baudelio Echavarri came free, but Johnny Banks reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Junta De Los Rios CF's Ferrando Astudillo got a free kick in the 29th minute. Malmö White Knights's Johnny Banks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baudelio Echavarri in the 32nd minute of play. Amuruza Lillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roby Baggio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 41st minute of the match Malmö White Knights got a corner. Junta De Los Rios CF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Evert Taube ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 43 played minutes Malmö White Knights got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Meireles. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Junta De Los Rios CF made a substitution. Ricardo Carballido replaced Fructuoso Olle. The wind increased when Roby Baggio made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Junta De Los Rios CF's goal looked a bit too open when Elvijs Presley came free, but Amuruza Lillo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Junta De Los Rios CF's Amuruza Lillo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvijs Presley in the 57th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Elvijs Presley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amuruza Lillo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elvijs Presley in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amuruza Lillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Junta De Los Rios CF's Ferrando Astudillo got a free kick in the 76th minute. The corner led Malmö White Knights's Di Feng Zheng to fire away a dangerous shot which Amuruza Lillo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 95 minutes, Argider Astudillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Junta De Los Rios CF and the Malmö White Knights players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Junta De Los Rios CF getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Argider Astudillo hit a great ball. Malmö White Knights's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
