Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fotis Mantzouranas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cícero Proença stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Murillo's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Ture Arenius could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fotis Mantzouranas in the 9th minute of play. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fotis Mantzouranas, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 15th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alonso Berganza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cícero Proença quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 15th minute, Alonso Berganza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cícero Proença was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cícero Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eliseo Mina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 33rd minute SC Otten were awarded a corner. Jones Cudmore went to the cornerflag to take it. 34 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cícero Proença was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 41 minutes into the match, Peru's Milagros Fraga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cícero Proença narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after SC Otten's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. After a defensive mix-up in SC Otten's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cícero Proença came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ture Arenius stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cícero Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cícero Proença. Julian Murillo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Proença having to interfere. SC Otten's Pankracy Setara was substituted for Ture Arenius. SC Otten's Hans Rosenthal was substituted for Jones Cudmore. SC Otten's Wit Dytrych was substituted for Fotis Mantzouranas. I Putu Min Jou made in the 65th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Eliseo Mina. Cícero Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 66th minute of the match. With a little luck, SC Otten's Cícero Proença got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luz Tejedor to maneuver through the defense. After 70 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. Hans Rosenthal struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Rolando Noboa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Otten. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cícero Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cícero Proença having to interfere. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by I Putu Min Jou, made in the 78th minute of the game. Wit Dytrych fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolando Noboa having to interfere. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. When %teams%'s Rafael Gallo was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 0-4 just inside the left pole, 94 minutes into the game. Cícero Proença was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
