After a rather tough play, Honduras's Esteban Carvallo got a free kick in the 37th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hamit Aynacıoğlu in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Hamit Aynacıoğlu sped through Honduras's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lautaro Navarro. After 41 played minutes FC MANLE got a freekick which was hit by Hüsnü Garipbaş. In the 42nd minute, Edmundo Espiga made a precise shot to the right of Şadi Turhan. FC MANLE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Edmundo Espiga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Şadi Turhan having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raşit Hendekli in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lautaro Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in FC MANLE's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Şadi Turhan came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Espiga took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şadi Turhan. Şadi Turhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmundo Espiga in the 82nd minute of play forced FC MANLE's goalkeeper Şadi Turhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
