Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 7th minute of play. Isaltino Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Danone CC booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonio Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dário Mesquita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Marquinhos Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Isaltino Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 16th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Daniel Zorita got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Isaltino Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlos Alberto Sá hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Radu Podgoreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute Gernando Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danone CC's Isaltino Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Saelices in the 39th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Proença in the 41st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antonio Arias kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Gernando Proença took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dário Mesquita in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dário Mesquita was the one to do the kick off. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dário Mesquita went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Isaltino Couto managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Ecuador's Daniel Zorita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Samuel McQuarrie went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Albert Vulpe kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 65 played minutes Danone CC got a freekick which was hit by Geovanni de Alcântara. Isaltino Couto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Velloso in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danone CC's Jeremias Velloso managed to work through Ecuador's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jeremias Velloso dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 76 minutes into the match, Danone CC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Isaltino Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Velloso came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Radu Podgoreanu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Julio Vera was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Danone CC made a substitution. Fausto Senna replaced Enéas Carneiro. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dário Mesquita in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. In the 88th minute, Marquinhos Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dário Mesquita was slow to take the kick. During this time Danone CC's players had a chance to rest. 95 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Isaltino Couto. Agustín Saelices showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Danone CC were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
