Bogdan Lobonț made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 10th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Octavian Popescu in the 14th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Octavian Popescu sent off a good shot on target. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Apostolis Polychronopoulos's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolis Polychronopoulos in the 21st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Apostolis Polychronopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolis Polychronopoulos came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Octavian Popescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot. Bogdan Lobonț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 36th minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apostolis Polychronopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Octavian Popescu sent off a good shot on target. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolis Polychronopoulos in the 46th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Octavian Popescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Octavian Popescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The wind increased when Apostolis Polychronopoulos made the kick off in the second half. If Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 53 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Apostolis Polychronopoulos came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by FC NATIONAL's Apostolis Polychronopoulos. But to his dismay, Apostolis Polychronopoulos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 59th minute Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC NATIONAL's Apostolis Polychronopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phaiakes Paraskevopoulos in the 65th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paraskevas Sorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Lobonț having to interfere. Bogdan Lobonț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apostolis Polychronopoulos in the 77th minute of the match. Bogdan Lobonț showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 79th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Apostolis Polychronopoulos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Apostolis Polychronopoulos in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a FC NATIONAL's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. FC NATIONAL walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
