Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Zorita scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Tabby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 12th minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Tabby was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Cristian Sancho put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Tabby. In the 25th minute of the game Camilo Gisbert made a throw-in which Luis Andino played forward. Jonathan Tabby came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montenegro. But to his dismay, Felix Montenegro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Jonathan Tabby didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. In the 32nd minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Tabby was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. In the 35th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Punta Alvear's Jonathan Tabby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Cristian Sancho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Tabby was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Felix Montenegro took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Tabby. Jonathan Tabby dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-9. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Tabby having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-9. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Epifanio Silvino to make the kick off. Camilo Gisbert didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 52nd minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Camilo Gisbert ran dejectedly back to his position. 52 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Jonathan Tabby was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Jonathan Tabby made a huge save. After 59 minutes of play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Tabby was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Punta Alvear's zone, Cristian Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Tabby came out of the goal and Cristian Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Punta Alvear's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Felix Montenegro scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Tabby, making the score, 0-13. Punta Alvear's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Cristian Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Tabby, making the score, 0-14. Punta Alvear's Jonathan Tabby proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Punta Alvear from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Jonathan Tabby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Jonathan Tabby stood somewhat misplaced when Cristian Sancho came free in front of goal and shot 0-15 to the left of him in the 79 minute. Adolfo Remigio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Tabby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Tabby came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Felix Montes. But to his dismay, Felix Montes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-16. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
