After 27 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. In the 29th minute Fredric Johnsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filip Pilberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano got a free kick in the 36th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fredric Johnsson in the 42nd minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fredric Johnsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fredric Johnsson in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Filip Pilberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 55th minute. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Grönlands SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Filip Pilberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 58th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. When Fredric Johnsson came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Grönlands SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fredric Johnsson couldn't finish the play. If Isac Hellsing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A throw-in in the 71st minute of the game was made by Karl-Ove Valström with Jonathan Ivarsson as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute of the match Felix Ekerot sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonathan Ferrant skillfully saved the ball. Grönlands SK's Filip Pilberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Grönlands SK from getting a goal against them. After 88 minutes of play Venezuela's Guillermo Mariano was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Fredric Johnsson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grönlands SK. 95 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Fredric Johnsson came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Venezuela players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Grönlands SK.
