Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Chicote made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Salvador Gisbert immediately put the ball in play. Jaroslaw Niezgoda struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Compostela FSCMZ. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justino Loramendi in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Mariano to maneuver through the defense. After 35 minutes, Jaroslaw Niezgoda made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Compostela FSCMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaroslaw Niezgoda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Compostela FSCMZ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Costa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Jaroslaw Niezgoda came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Venezuela's Alex Chicote managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Alex Ortiz in the 51 minute of the game. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Cesar Peyo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cesar Peyo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Justino Loramendi in the 58th minute. Justino Loramendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Tomas Illescas charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomas Illescas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a free kick in the 68th minute. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Justino Loramendi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Justino Loramendi really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Compostela FSCMZ made a substitution. Jefferson Sousa replaced Dragoş Ţiţeica. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Mauro Paulista was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Jaroslaw Niezgoda scored 0-8 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaroslaw Niezgoda.
