The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Giacomo Casanova made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute Montesacro FC were awarded a corner. Juliusz Julien went to the cornerflag to take it. A collision led to Montesacro FC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Daniel Prodan hit a great ball. The Montesacro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Peru were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Loco Palermo was the one to do the kick off. Emmanuel Reyes hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Daniel Prodan made a throw-in in the 56th minute of the game. With a little luck, Montesacro FC's Giacomo Casanova got control of the ball when Julian Murillo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Montesacro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Giacomo Casanova tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Montesacro FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Juliusz Julien hit a great ball. In the 70th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Montesacro FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Daniel Prodan, made in the 76th minute of the game. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Montesacro FC's goalkeeper Giacomo Casanova, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giacomo Casanova having to interfere. Peru made a substitution. In the 94th minute, Paolo Rossi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Montesacro FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Peru's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
