In the 28th minute Raul Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute, Raul Leal made a precise shot to the right of Dante Lacasa. The referee showed Abílio Passos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to SC Freiburg 09 getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Abílio Passos hit a great ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abílio Passos in the 55th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 80th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ivo Guterres could save by the left post. 83 minutes into the match, Joel Gaona had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivo Guterres. SC Freiburg 09's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Gaona was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. The supporters of SC Freiburg 09 booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luca Rouco didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to SC Freiburg 09 getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Caio Sampaio hit a great ball. After 89 played minutes, Mexico's Joel Gaona shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ivo Guterres came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mexico reached it. Joel Gaona's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Ivo Guterres on his right side and into the goal. 89 minutes into the game it was 3-3. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Raul Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mehmet Ferit İsmet's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehmet Ferit İsmet helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, SC Freiburg 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehmet Ferit İsmet to maneuver through the defense. The Mexico players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Freiburg 09 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
