Mämmädbağır Svensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 38th minute of play. Arkın Öğüç's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolando Noboa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK's Joakim Forss was substituted for Michael Karlsson. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. In the 91st minute, Alonso Berganza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Joakim Forss had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ivan Turina´s ☆ Väddö AIK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
