After 12 minutes of play, AS Monaco FC's Grzegorz Jaktorowo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan Puchlik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grzegorz Jaktorowo in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, AS Monaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonard Pawlak to maneuver through the defense. 36 minutes into the game, Waldemar Karaszkiewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AS Monaco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. Patricio Costa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Puchlik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Kajetan Kostrzewa made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Grzegorz Jaktorowo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 68th minute of play forced AS Monaco FC's goalkeeper Jan Puchlik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Karaszkiewicz came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jan Puchlik showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Costa in the 75th minute of the match. Jan Puchlik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AS Monaco FC's Jan Puchlik was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 88th minute of play forced AS Monaco FC's goalkeeper Jan Puchlik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan Puchlik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Gisbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Andrzej Andrychowski charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrzej Andrychowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Salvador Gisbert was shown his second yellow card after 96 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Salvador Gisbert hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
