After taking down the ball on san isidro's corner Cleto Camerino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marcos Cotilla quite easily take care of the ball. Elvio Chorache kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gösta Kihlberg was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Tomas Berganza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elpidio Segio was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the last second Elpidio Segio throw himself and got hold of the ball when Tomas Berganza in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 90th minute, Gösta Kihlberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The san isidro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-4. In the 96th minute, Panama's Isidoro Sarmiento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elpidio Segio. Elpidio Segio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-5.
