In the 17th minute Emiliano Weather shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Emiliano Weather put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. 22 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Hugo Tavio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hugo Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 25th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th match minute, TALLERES DE CBA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Cordarrel to maneuver through the defense. Eliseo Noboa hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Hugo Tavio in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Serafino Firme during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, TALLERES DE CBA's Serafino Firme got a free kick in the 34th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emiliano Weather in the 40th minute of the match. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when TALLERES DE CBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano Weather didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Axel Tasis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Lautaro Puig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Fabricio Godoy struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TALLERES DE CBA. Serafino Firme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Tasis struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Hugo Tavio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. 79 minutes into the match, Eliseo Noboa notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of TALLERES DE CBA's Hugo Tavio. Hugo Tavio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hugo Tavio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 85th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Emiliano Weather who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Costa Rica's Benito Sanz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. TALLERES DE CBA were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Costa Rica to leave the ground with a draw.
