Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Manfred Rudqvist made the kick off and thus started the match. 10 minutes into the match, Manchester United FC's Freek Tamminga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Manchester United FC's Jonathan Ferrant threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manfred Rudqvist, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 13th minute of the match Manchester United FC got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Simão de Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Manfred Rudqvist almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant did a great save. Rui Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Dariusz Zajac made in the 17th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Ľubomír Timčo however managed to control. In the 23rd minute, Manfred Rudqvist reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. The goal made the score 1-0. Bruno Martini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomas Illescas, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Joachim De Jonghe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manchester United FC's Joachim De Jonghe got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joachim De Jonghe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ľubomír Timčo. Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bruno Martini. Manchester United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 45 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester United FC the free kick. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Joachim De Jonghe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Manchester United FC's Bruno Martini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 51st minute of play. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Guillermo Mariano hit a great ball. Glauco Saraiva hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Bruno Martini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 66th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Manfred Rudqvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 85th minute, Manfred Rudqvist ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91stth minute of the game Manfred Rudqvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 93 minutes, Manfred Rudqvist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester United FC and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card.
