After 18 minutes -BZF- Ursus Magura's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Agustín Saelices almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby did a great save. In the 19th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudiu Şerbănoiu in the 21st minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Espen Lyngsby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 27th minute of play. Espen Lyngsby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Claudiu Şerbănoiu made the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Şerbănoiu in the 52nd minute of play. Claudiu Şerbănoiu succeeded in the game's 52nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mihăiţă Vergulescu in the 55th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ecuador's zone, Mihăiţă Vergulescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julio Vera came out of the goal and Mihăiţă Vergulescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Espen Lyngsby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. -BZF- Ursus Magura made a substitution. Aron Pantiș replaced Cristi Dinu. In the 72nd minute, Mihăiţă Vergulescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mihăiţă Vergulescu came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudiu Şerbănoiu in the 91st minute of play. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudiu Şerbănoiu went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudiu Şerbănoiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, -BZF- Ursus Magura could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
