Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semail Özbir in the 3rd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, San Diego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Yusuf Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 6th minute, Panama's Tomas Berganza ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yusuf Stegen. Yusuf Stegen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Berganza in the 9th minute of play forced San Diego FC's goalkeeper Yusuf Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Panama's Tomas Berganza in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye San Diego FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 15th minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yusuf Stegen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Dainius Bagdonas came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 17th minute of the match San Diego FC got a corner. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Talip Ecemiş ran over to the corner to take the kick. San Diego FC's Talip Ecemiş was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcos Cotilla in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yusuf Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 19th minute of play. Abraham Alguacil's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Yusuf Stegen firmly grabbed it by the left post. San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Berganza in the 25th minute of play. With a little luck, San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen got control of the ball when Isidoro Sarmiento tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Berganza in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yusuf Stegen saved San Diego FC from getting behind. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dainius Bagdonas in the 30th minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Tomas Berganza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Teddy Bourasseau made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Semail Özbir, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Semail Özbir struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Diego FC. Dainius Bagdonas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dainius Bagdonas in the 45th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Tomas Berganza took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Yusuf Stegen to make any attempt to save it.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dainius Bagdonas made a kick off. Yusuf Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Berganza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 55 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of San Diego FC's Yusuf Stegen. Yusuf Stegen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Semail Özbir's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, San Diego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Yusuf Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, San Diego FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Alguacil came free, but Yusuf Stegen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to San Diego FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Teddy Bourasseau hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Tomas Berganza sped through San Diego FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yusuf Stegen. 88 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yusuf Stegen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Semail Özbir in the 93rd minute of play. Tomas Berganza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yusuf Stegen having to interfere. Panama were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of San Diego FC for a fine match.
