Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Fabiano Ornelas made the kick off and thus started the match. Benito Sanz was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Fabiano Ornelas capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabiano Ornelas really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Fabiano Ornelas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Ornelas in the 10th minute of play. Fabiano Ornelas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano Ornelas went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Christophe Pourre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lautaro Puig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christophe Pourre read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Christophe Pourre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Puig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabiano Ornelas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Rakkestad IF's Fabiano Ornelas ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Efrain Moruga hit a great ball. After having played for 46 minutes, Fabiano Ornelas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rakkestad IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Ornelas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Tasis made a kick off. Andrzej Dobrowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 52 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Benito Sanz came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Rakkestad IF's Andrzej Dobrowski. But to his dismay, Andrzej Dobrowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. When Fabiano Ornelas came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Rakkestad IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Ornelas couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the match, Fabiano Ornelas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabiano Ornelas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. If Fabiano Ornelas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rakkestad IF's Robert Pirès was substituted for Romain Declerck. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Andrzej Dobrowski struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rakkestad IF. 77 minutes into the match, Joachim Hylland notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rakkestad IF made a substitution. Johan Ødegården replaced Andrzej Dobrowski. Joachim Hylland took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Pirès's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Joachim Hylland scored 11-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee ended the match the Rakkestad IF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
