After having played for 17 minutes, Bas de Vlieger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 上海申花SVA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bas de Vlieger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 21st minute of play forced 上海申花SVA's goalkeeper 苏笑默 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Giovanny Koninkx shot from long distance in the 25th minute, but Jonathan Ferrant was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Mito Pelé received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Mito Pelé slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mito Pelé in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Mito Pelé managed to get in a good position for a shot. 上海申花SVA's supporters rose to their feet, but Mito Pelé was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mito Pelé stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With 91 minutes on the clock, Rigoberto Mina commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 93 minutes into the match, Giovanny Koninkx notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
