Thanks to some nice moves Martin Idsøe could shoot a difficult shot in the 9th minute, which Benito Sanz however easily saved by the left post. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Costa Rica's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Azli Swee was slow to take the kick. During this time PSG FC's players had a chance to rest. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 12 minutes into the game, Martin Idsøe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Martin Idsøe received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ulf Abrahamsson kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. In the 21st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Puig to maneuver through the defense. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Idsøe, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. PSG FC were furious when Gilvan Trigo was red carded, 37 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Gilvan Trigo hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in PSG FC's zone, Alan Moruga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mickaël Landreau came out of the goal and Alan Moruga tried to chip the ball over his head. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Axel Tasis to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, PSG FC's Azli Swee nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Basile Berteloot took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 57th minute, Jacques Mariot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Azli Swee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Lautaro Puig got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurent Rouille in the 65th minute of play. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basile Berteloot in the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. In the 76th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Noboa to maneuver through the defense. Azli Swee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Azli Swee came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azli Swee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Moruga to maneuver through the defense. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. PSG FC fully deserved thier win.
