Facundo Cadaval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Facundo Cadaval 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. 17 minutes into the match, Florian Capasso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Florian Capasso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mauro-Facundo Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. 26 minutes into the match, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Mauro-Facundo Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kalju Vint hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Fabian Meleșcanu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Hélder Fonseca replaced Florian Capasso. Marcinho Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Merusca F&P - CIMZ getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Vihar Perchemliev hit a great ball. Geovani Mangueira charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovani Mangueira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 86 minutes into the game, one of Merusca F&P - CIMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Mexico. Joel Gaona stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mauro-Facundo Buffon. 3-2. After having played for 91 minutes, Alberto Tafalla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Tafalla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes in the game Leonardo Leoz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lautaro Mancebo. Mexico's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
