After having played for 15 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Tavio made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Maximiliano Escribano sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francisco Seco got free with Hugo Tavio in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Fabricio Godoy notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Hugo Tavio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 48 minutes into the game, Maximiliano Escribano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hugo Tavio. Maximiliano Escribano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francisco Seco to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 58th minute of play forced TALLERES DE CBA's goalkeeper Hugo Tavio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to TALLERES DE CBA getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Arturo Isusko hit a great ball. In the 60th minute of the match Jaime Cazalla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Tavio skillfully saved the ball. Isidro Espiridion's late challenge caught a Uruguay's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidro Espiridion helped the player get up and apologised. Hugo Tavio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Uruguay's Francisco Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 84 minutes into the match, TALLERES DE CBA's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Hugo Tavio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Tavio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Seco, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 88th minute of play forced TALLERES DE CBA's goalkeeper Hugo Tavio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Francisco Seco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
