Edgar Onea ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Călin Hulubei in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Dinu Săvoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgar Onea was the one to do the kick off. Edgar Onea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ecuador played a much better game than POLI TIMISOARA and deserved their victory. The POLI TIMISOARA players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
