That made the score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. In the 12th minute Ubaldo Gervaso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Jan-Åke Norberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Plast i Naturen FC's Elpidio Pan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Puig in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Plast i Naturen FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Axel Tasis was slow to take the kick. During this time Costa Rica's players had a chance to rest. When Plast i Naturen FC's Bengt-Arne Brun in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Costa Rica's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Bengt-Arne Brun scored to the left of an out of position Benito Sanz, making the score, 3-0. 48 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Arne Brun came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Plast i Naturen FC were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Costa Rica's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Metodi Lyubchenkov took the corner. Metodi Lyubchenkov made a great header on Plast i Naturen FC's corner, it was just that Costa Rica's Benito Sanz managed to reach the ball for a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bengt-Arne Brun to make the kick off. In the 55th play minute Lautaro Puig came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elpidio Pan. 3-1. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Åke Norberg in the 60th minute of the match. Jan-Åke Norberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Arne Brun struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Plast i Naturen FC. 70 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Åke Norberg came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 73 minutes into the match, Bengt-Arne Brun notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Metodi Lyubchenkov during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Plast i Naturen FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Metodi Lyubchenkov hit a great ball. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Plast i Naturen FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Alcocer. Jan-Åke Norberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Nicklas Löfdahl came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Jan-Åke Norberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Plast i Naturen FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. A collision led to Plast i Naturen FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Hubert Tholsson hit a great ball. Plast i Naturen FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
