With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Irfan Arnawa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Luca Zorita fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mexico's protests and gave Luca Zorita a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44th minute, Luca Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Irfan Arnawas short, quick shot in the 47thth minute got Dante Lacasa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Honorato Marz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. Joel Gaona recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 56 minutes on the clock, Felix Luque commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 56th minute, one of Mexico:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Mexico. The referee gave São Miguel do Oeste.SC a penalty, 57 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Moises Boniel, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. 2-0. Honorato Marz made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Lautaro Mancebo sent off a good shot on target. Gustavo Scarpa scored 3-0 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Scarpa in the 71st minute of play. When São Miguel do Oeste.SC's Gustavo Scarpa, in the 71st minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for São Miguel do Oeste.SC. After 83 played minutes São Miguel do Oeste.SC got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Scarpa. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Boniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Irfan Arnawa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere.
