Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francisco Seco took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fabrizio Antonacci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Canevare's Beppe Mazzocchi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 6th minute of play. Beppe Mazzocchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jaime Cazalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Pelliccia lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 10 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Canevare! If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Gisbert made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Canevare's Achille Contestabile. Beppe Mazzocchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Cazalla in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Canevare was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabrizio Antonacci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco Seco in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Beppe Mazzocchi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alberto Gisbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Mazzocchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beppe Mazzocchi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 42nd minute of the match. After 48 minutes, Aurelio Morini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canevare and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 47th minute, one of Canevare:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canevare. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Uruguay. Jaime Cazalla stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Beppe Mazzocchi. 0-1. The Canevare players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Uruguay were winning 0-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberigo Di Giandomenico made a kick off. In the 55th minute Maximiliano Escribano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beppe Mazzocchi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Canevare got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Di Giandomenico. Beppe Mazzocchi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Beppe Mazzocchi when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 65 minutes, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uruguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Seco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beppe Mazzocchi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 68th minute of play. Canevare's Beppe Mazzocchi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Canevare from getting a goal against them. Beppe Mazzocchi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximiliano Escribano's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Canevare's Alfredo Sforza quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jaime Cazalla, made in the 74th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Beppe Mazzocchi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Francisco Seco came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Seco couldn't finish the play. 87 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Escribano notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Canevare's Beppe Mazzocchi. Beppe Mazzocchi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Canevare's Beppe Mazzocchi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Canevare from getting a goal against them. In the 92nd minute, Camilo Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabrizio Antonacci kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Uruguay left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Canevare.
