Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Filfla United the free kick. Lautaro Puig kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Said took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Etienne Blanco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 2-0. Benito Sanz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but John Said showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 23 minute of play. Tony Soprano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benito Sanz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benito Sanz stood somewhat misplaced when Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 32 minute. In the 35th minute, Filfla United's Dragoş Afloarei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0. After 38 minutes of play, Filfla United's Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benito Sanz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dragoş Afloarei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 43 minutes, Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu took a quick shot and it went in 7-0 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when John Said stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Filfla United's John Said in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, John Said put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Benito Sanz. Alexander Carballo's late challenge caught a Filfla United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Carballo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dragoş Afloarei in the 90th minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Carballo to maneuver through the defense. Hüseyin Rahmi Avcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, John Said made a precise shot to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. Filfla United walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
