Eusébio Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Nores having to interfere. In the 8th minute of the match Felippe Severo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jacobo Nores skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Eusébio Rezende put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. After some careless play in the Paraguay defense, Eusébio Rezende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jacobo Nores. The Paraguay fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jacobo Nores should have stopped the shot. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Tiago Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 24th minute of the match. Eusébio Rezende in the 25thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jacobo Nores, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jacobo Nores was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusébio Rezende showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 27 minute of play. Tião Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tião Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Leão STAND BY FSCMZ getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's Tiago Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Paraguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Pardo went to the cornerflag to take it. Jaime Pardo made a great header on Paraguay's corner, it was just that Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's Tiago Arósio managed to reach the ball for a save. 39 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson Peixoto came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leão STAND BY FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 40th minute after Paraguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eusébio Rezende took the corner. The corner led Leão STAND BY FSCMZ's Eusébio Rezende to fire away a dangerous shot which Jacobo Nores despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Eusébio Rezende who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Jacobo Nores when he managed to save the team from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Eusébio Rezende put it in 6-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. The audience was convinced that Jeferson Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, Jeferson Peixoto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeferson Peixoto in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. After 68 minutes, Eusébio Rezende made it 8-0 with a short kick to the right side. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd minute, Eusébio Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Arósio made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute Jeferson Peixoto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
