Municipales FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jenson Smith was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After recieving a nice pass, USA's Jenson Smith tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borja Iglesias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the USA players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
