A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Billesholm's Sture Hellbom slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-0 after 19 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Billesholm's Stefan Håkansson got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Sebastian Villa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Kinnman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Sture Hellbom dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lautaro Navarro, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Villa in the 33rd minute of play forced Billesholm's goalkeeper Axel Kinnman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 34th minute. Honduras's Christian Sancho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Axel Kinnman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Honduras booed when Billesholm was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Jönsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Freddie Mellin made in the 41st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Stefan Håkansson immediately put the ball in play. Sture Hellbom might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lautaro Navarro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sture Hellbom ran back to his position shaking his head. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Edmundo Espiga made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Christian Sancho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Honduras's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Billesholm the free kick. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Christian Sancho got a free kick in the 51st minute. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sture Hellbom in the 52nd minute of the match. Sture Hellbom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Billesholm's Lars Larsson was substituted for Eugeniusz Huchro. Freddie Mellin made in the 75th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Emanuel Ocampo. Billesholm's Axel Kinnman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luca Espinar in the 83rd minute of play. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Knut Danielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute, Knut Danielsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Billesholm fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Billesholm's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
