Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Ruddi Stenskov made a huge save. After 6 minutes Köse's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ruddi Stenskov in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Ruddi Stenskov in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ruddi Stenskov was a little too slow when Daniel Zorita got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 9th minute. The score was now 1-0. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustín Saelices received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruddi Stenskov came out and tried to block the shot, but Agustín Saelices slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 15th minute. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 23rd minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ruddi Stenskov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 30th minute, Felix Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Ruddi Stenskov made a huge save. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Ruddi Stenskov made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruddi Stenskov. Köse's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Urko, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 47th match minute, Köse was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aktuğ Korkutalp to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Zorita made a kick off. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ruddi Stenskov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruddi Stenskov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes Köse's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Juan Sebastián Puig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. After 67 played minutes Köse got a freekick which was hit by Recep Talha Somer. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 68th minute of play forced Köse's goalkeeper Ruddi Stenskov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Köse were awarded a corner. Josef Hääger went to the cornerflag to take it. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Ruddi Stenskov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Köse's Ruddi Stenskov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ecuador fully deserved thier win.
