Fernado Chapado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Villa in the 10th minute of the match. Fernado Chapado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 12th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Emanuel Ocampo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, Udad Xavier notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Honduras's Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute, Hermínio Catarinense left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The YPIRANGA F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Fernado Chapado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 24th minute of play. Moises Tafalla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Lautaro Navarro was a little too slow when Maicon Maia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmundo Espiga was the one to do the kick off. After 54 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Carvallo. YPIRANGA F.C.'s Wanderson Torres couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 55th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Honduras. In the 60th minute Patrick Ortiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62ndth minute of the game Hermínio Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Honduras's Lautaro Navarro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the game, YPIRANGA F.C.'s Udad Xavier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Navarro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Milagros Cabal hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. YPIRANGA F.C. were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
