Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edmundo Espiga took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hílton do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Tafalla in the 3rd minute of play. Moises Tafalla took the ball and in the 3 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hílton do Valle. Hílton do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Hílton Travassos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The goalkeeper, Lautaro Navarro, was totally fooled by Esporte Clube Italva's Narciso Pereira, who 9 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Hílton do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Honduras were awarded a corner. Edmundo Espiga went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Honduras's Edmundo Espiga to fire away a dangerous shot which Hílton do Valle despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 15th minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hílton do Valle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 20th minute of play. In the 21stth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esporte Clube Italva's Hílton do Valle was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Navarro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cipriano Cordeiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 26 minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Honduras's goalkeeper Lautaro Navarro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hílton Travassos. Hílton do Valle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cipriano Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Hílton Travassos made the kick off in the second half. Edmundo Espiga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hílton do Valle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 50th minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Esporte Clube Italva's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edmundo Espiga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Edmundo Espiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hílton Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Navarro having to interfere. After 71 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Luca Espinar. Esporte Clube Italva's Narciso Pereira got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hílton do Valle was a little too slow when Edmundo Espiga got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 2-3. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Esporte Clube Italva's goalkeeper Hílton do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Sancho's late challenge caught a Esporte Clube Italva's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Sancho helped the player get up and apologised. Christian Sancho kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the match was over Honduras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Esporte Clube Italva throughout the match.
