In the 61st minute of the match Gaston Cabrito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dante Lacasa showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Bairon Berger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Mele saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Johansson in the 78th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivo Cerezo in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Claudio Mele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 91st minute. The supporters of Mexico booed when CF Eleven Lions 2007 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dalmacio Blai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
