Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alexander Murillo took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. DÏVÄLÄ's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. Tomas Illescas's late challenge caught a DÏVÄLÄ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomas Illescas helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Illescas. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonathan Venegas during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 10 minutes, Hermes Zambrano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DÏVÄLÄ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermes Zambrano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexander Murillo kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 13thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Venezuela's keeper Jonathan Ferrant was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julio-César Morales in the 17th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Murillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexander Murillo in the 25th minute of the match. If Flann Flack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes DÏVÄLÄ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomas Illescas who took care of the corner kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flann Flack in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Cotrofe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flann Flack in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 38th minute Donato Cotrofe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute, Hermes Zambrano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, DÏVÄLÄ's Julio-César Morales got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Flann Flack ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Alexander Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Alexander Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Cotrofe in the 59th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Alexander Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Cotrofe, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of DÏVÄLÄ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 69 played minutes, DÏVÄLÄ's Tomaso Ulloa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DÏVÄLÄ reached it. When DÏVÄLÄ's Alexander Murillo in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. 76 minutes into the match, DÏVÄLÄ's goalkeeper Fabio Muñoz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Fabio Muñoz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 80th minute of the match. When DÏVÄLÄ's Flann Flack in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Jose Correa hit a great ball. The supporters of DÏVÄLÄ booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Alexander Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. DÏVÄLÄ's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexander Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Fabio Muñoz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Fabio Muñoz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Cotrofe in the 94th minute of play. DÏVÄLÄ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
