U.S.Normande's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when U.S.Normande was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aymerick Tourrette didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 7th minute of play forced U.S.Normande's goalkeeper Mikael Damm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mikael Damm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 14 minutes, Jasper Faller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U.S.Normande and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 14 played minutes U.S.Normande got a freekick which was hit by Jasper Faller. In the 16thth minute of the game Cristian Sancho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U.S.Normande's Mikael Damm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 28th minute. Ecuador's Felix Montes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mikael Damm in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 36th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. U.S.Normande's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Cristian Sancho almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U.S.Normande's Mikael Damm did a great save. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 38th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Felix Montenegro to score against Mikael Damm in U.S.Normande's goal. 0-1 after 39 minutes. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Mike Constantin hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. U.S.Normande's Mikael Damm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save U.S.Normande from getting a goal against them. Youri Borderie kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Léopold Fraval came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Léopold Fraval sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Léopold Fraval in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Mike Constantin came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Mikael Damm to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Daniel Zorita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mikael Damm, passed just outside the right post. U.S.Normande's Mike Constantin managed to work through Ecuador's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Mike Constantin dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Mikael Damm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
