Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Robustiano Olate had several of the Costa Rica's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 9 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Benito Sanz as he didn't even see the shot coming. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radomir Mleczewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Aaron Alcocer got a free kick in the 15th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Axel Tasis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Tasis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marian Topolski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute Lautaro Puig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marian Topolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Marian Topolski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robustiano Olate came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Benito Sanz could save by the left post. Radomir Mleczewski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 33 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Felipo Knauer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robustiano Olate. 39 minutes into the match, Robustiano Olate dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 3-1. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 46 played minutes C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol got a freekick which was hit by Felipo Knauer. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robustiano Olate stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marian Topolski having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Radomir Mleczewski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radomir Mleczewski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Radomir Mleczewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Radomir Mleczewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Axel Tasis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Radomir Mleczewski took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Radomir Mleczewski scored 6-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. C.D. y S. Hijos del Sol made a substitution. Lolo Lavandero replaced Robustiano Olate. Radomir Mleczewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Axel Tasis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Marian Topolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marian Topolski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Tasis in the 87th minute.
