Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Paraguay were furious when Iker Tafalla was red carded, 4 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 3 minutes into the game, one of Paraguay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After 5 minutes Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores managed, with a little bit of luck, save Živadin Gvozdenović's penalty, on his right side after a tricky shot. In the 5th minute, Živadin Gvozdenović ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jacobo Nores was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 10 played minutes FK Partizan Beograd got a freekick which was hit by Miljan Lončarević. 14 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Mitar Momić came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grigorije Pejaković kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. 35 minutes into the game, Hector Covarrubias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FK Partizan Beograd the free kick. In the 35th minute, Hector Covarrubias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes, Primitivo Escribano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paraguay and the FK Partizan Beograd players grew even worse after the yellow card. After recieving a nice pass, FK Partizan Beograd's Živadin Gvozdenović tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 42nd minute of the game, Hector Covarrubias landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 42 minutes, Kamenko Nemčev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FK Partizan Beograd and the Paraguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Primitivo Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mitar Momić to strike the kick off in the second half. FK Partizan Beograd's Višeslav Putinčanin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marco Romero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boris Čović having to interfere. Marco Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mitar Momić's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Slaven Ljubanović in the 67th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Paraguay's Marco Romero. If Marco Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to FK Partizan Beograd getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Janča Sokolov hit a great ball. Marco Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boris Čović. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marco Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Mitar Momić managed to get in a good position for a shot. FK Partizan Beograd's supporters rose to their feet, but Mitar Momić was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Mitar Momić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the match, FK Partizan Beograd's goalkeeper Boris Čović had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco Romero. 93 minutes into the game, Slaven Ljubanović threw the ball into play from the sideline. Paraguay's Ivan Prats quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion.
