Belarmino Viejo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Thiago Pliego made a huge save. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquilino Velazquez in the 26th minute of play. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Velazquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francisco Carballar hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Club Deportivo Polonia's Belarmino Viejo got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Belarmino Viejo made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Mariano Lacasa recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Angelino Barba. Mariano Lacasa showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 54th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Angelino Barba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Club Deportivo Polonia's Angelino Barba got control of the ball when Mariano Lacasa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angelino Barba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 72nd minute of play. Angelino Barba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 73rd minute of the match. After 75 minutes Club Deportivo Polonia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariano Lacasa who took care of the corner kick. Maurino Esperta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Deportivo Polonia made a substitution. Loramendi Zabalo replaced Belarmino Viejo. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Angelino Barba made a huge save. Angelino Barba made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Casaus in the 90th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loramendi Zabalo in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dolfo Durango during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 95 played minutes Club Deportivo Polonia got a freekick which was hit by Dolfo Durango.
