After 10 minutes, Arturo Bondi made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Maximino Acevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 14th minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Acevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute of the match. Cristóvão de Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Illescas in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximino Acevedo saved Fazendinha from getting behind. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Mina hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. In the 41st minute, Alf Håning got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Arturo Bondi got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Arturo Bondi made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Fazendinha's Arturo Bondi got a free kick in the 50th minute. Fazendinha's Arturo Bondi got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 59 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Venegas. With a little luck, Fazendinha's Maximino Acevedo got control of the ball when Patricio Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 71st play minutes Arturo Bondi shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Jonathan Ferrant and just under the crossbar into goal. Tomas Illescass short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Maximino Acevedo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 77thth minute, Maximino Acevedo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Acevedo having to interfere. The supporters of Fazendinha booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Correa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Melo came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Fazendinha getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Felipe Fontes hit a great ball. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Fazendinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Fontes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Patricio Costa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximino Acevedo. Fazendinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patricio Costa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Fazendinha's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
