The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Isak Stålman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 20th minute of play forced Polly Magoo Juniors's goalkeeper Markus Fågel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Isak Stålman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 44 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gisbert. Julio Vera didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isak Stålman went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. Isak Stålman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Vera having to make a save. A collision led to Polly Magoo Juniors getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Conny Rudkvist hit a great ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isak Stålman in the 55th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Fågel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. After 59 minutes, Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Polly Magoo Juniors's Markus Fågel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isak Stålman in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, Polly Magoo Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isak Stålman to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Markus Fågel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristian Sancho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Markus Fågel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 86th minute. The Ecuador fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Ecuador's Felix Montenegro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play.
