Célio Leite might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Lacasa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Célio Leite ran back to his position shaking his head. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Leite in the 7th minute of play. Tiburcio Liher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute Célio Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute Célio Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Gaona came free, but Tiburcio Liher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tiburcio Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Joel Gaona scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tiburcio Liher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Macos Graciani hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Amado Valverde hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Célio Leite to make the kick off. In the 57th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 59 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Cazalla. Altamora FC's Osvaldo Vasques was substituted for Duarte Garcia. Macos Graciani made in the 62nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Joel Gaona. In the 71st minute Célio Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Altamora FC were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Mexico's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Higino lago took the corner. The corner led to Altamora FC's Rodrigo Leão getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Tiburcio Liher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute, Leonardo Leoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Célio Leite in the 77th minute of play. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Tiburcio Liher made a huge save. In the 83rd minute, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 87th minute of play forced Altamora FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Liher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Liher had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Pankowski in the 92nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute Célio Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico played a much better game than Altamora FC and deserved their victory. The Altamora FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
