Manuel Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manuel Peres made a kick off. Manuel Peres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Manuel Peres in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dieter Strelow was slow to take the kick. During this time De Gulden Draak's players had a chance to rest. A well-hit corner resulted in Erwin Backes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 60th minute, Boris Rülke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Backes in the 68th minute of the match. De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save De Gulden Draak from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, De Gulden Draak's Siim Kikas got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 75th match minute, De Gulden Draak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nils Kettler to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Siim Kikas in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The De Gulden Draak fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
