A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. 17 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ben Spierenburg came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cauan de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 20 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauan de Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ben Spierenburg struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maragassume AD - CIMZ. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 37 minutes into the match, Maragassume AD - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Cauan de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan de Senna having to interfere. Cristian Sancho in the 60thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cauan de Senna, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With his leg Cauan de Senna managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Cauan de Senna in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cauan de Senna was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Daniel Zorita capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Daniel Zorita really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Diamantino Neves was substituted for Sergiu Râznicu. Maragassume AD - CIMZ's Fernandão Cearense was substituted for Remo de Almeida. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ben Spierenburg in the 71st minute of the match. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Maragassume AD - CIMZ.
