Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Abelsson having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Arne Kjellman came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wedd FF's Rune Abelsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Wedd FF from getting a goal against them. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Rune Abelsson made a huge save. After 81 minutes of play, Wedd FF's Sven-Arne Kjellman made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
