The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baransel Ortan in the 9th minute of the match. Cumhur Ulutan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abraham Alguacil in the 12th minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gündüz Dirican in the 17th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Gündüz Dirican took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Marcos Cotilla to make any attempt to save it. TRABZONSPOR's Cumhur Ulutan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abraham Alguacil in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Tomas Berganza had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cumhur Ulutan. TRABZONSPOR's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomas Berganza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gündüz Dirican, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute of the match TRABZONSPOR got a corner. Panama's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lefter İbiş ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Lefter İbiş got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Cotilla quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abraham Alguacil in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cumhur Ulutan saved TRABZONSPOR from getting behind. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baransel Ortan in the 37th minute of the match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 39 minutes into the game, when Felipe Ros put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Panama's Felipe Ros got a free kick in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Panama's zone, Lefter İbiş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal and Lefter İbiş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Doğan Özsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomas Berganza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doğan Özsen in the 53rd minute of play. 55 minutes into the match, Çelebi Yüksel notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 60 minutes, Gökçe Sabri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TRABZONSPOR and the Panama players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, one of TRABZONSPOR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for TRABZONSPOR. TRABZONSPOR's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Tomas Berganza scored to the left of an out of position Cumhur Ulutan, making the score, 3-3. In the 68th minute Gündüz Dirican shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doğan Özsen hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gündüz Dirican in the 77th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Cotilla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gündüz Dirican, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Tomas Berganza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cumhur Ulutan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After taking down the ball on Panama's corner Abraham Alguacil fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cumhur Ulutan quite easily take care of the ball. Baransel Ortan struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Marcos Cotilla didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TRABZONSPOR. 89 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Çelebi Yüksel came free, but Marcos Cotilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gökçe Sabri kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After 96 played minutes TRABZONSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Gökçe Sabri. TRABZONSPOR were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
