Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Cordero in the 6th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Mcdonald in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dražen Ladić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dražen Ladić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 14th minute of the match. Marcelo Cordero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Marco Day made a huge save. In the 24th minute Martín Ferreyra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Day saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dražen Ladić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 47th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cassius Byrne to make the kick off.
