Eliseo Noboa struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ronny Blom didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Costa Rica. After 19 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Lautaro Puig. A sloppy throw-in by Hugo Ferrant in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Hermanö Oilers's Wilhelm Cane. In the 23rd minute, Lautaro Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Moruga. Ronny Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Eliseo Noboa hit a great ball. Ronny Blom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronny Blom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Tasis, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the game, Lautaro Puig cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Eliseo Noboa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Ronny Blom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Cane, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. In the 60th minute of the match, Eliseo Noboa tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronny Blom saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Hermanö Oilers's Jerry Vallin managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Efrain Moruga in the 63 minute of the game. 68 minutes into the game, Efrain Moruga threw the ball into play from the sideline. Hermanö Oilers's Jerry Vallin quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 71st play minute Lautaro Puig came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ronny Blom. 0-3. Ronny Blom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 81st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 83rd minute. 85 minutes into the match, Wilhelm Cane notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 91st match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Rubio to maneuver through the defense.
